re-initialization of sparsersb repository

Dear Octave Maintainers,

I'm the author of sparsersb
 http://hg.code.sf.net/p/octave/sparsersb

and I wish to adjust the commit history a bit (I wish to add my email
address next to my contributions) in the way politely suggested to me
by JordiGH, via e.g.: 

 $ hg convert sparsersb sparserb_new --authormap ...

but AFAIK that makes sense when afterwards one can push to an empty repo --
I wish therefore to ask an admin for reinitialization / move of the repo,
or deletion + recreation, or at least an alternative suggestion ;-) .
I'd be open to use the chance to switch sparsersb to be kept under a git
repo, unless this is really discouraged by the Octave community...
