Hello,

My name is Misha Patel and I’m reaching out on behalf of the HackIllinois Outreach team. HackIllinois is a 36-hour collegiate Open Source hackathon that takes place annually at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This year, it will be from February 28th-March 1st, 2020.

This seems like a great event. I wish it had been brought to the group's attention a bit sooner. A week and a half is  a pretty tight turnaround for people not in the UIUC communing area, let alone in the U.S.  Anyone free next weekend? :)

With short turnaround you could suggested limiting hacks to m-code level stuff that can be 99% tested without being setup to compile, and we have the projects and GSOC lists as starters.

What is our headcount of U.S. based maintainers for something like this?  or should this be a 'put it on next year's calendar' event?
