Follow-up Comment #6, patch #7929 (project octave):

Examples SB21 and SB27 are both working properly now that I have found and
corrected the errors in the paper.

Same thing with all the equations where there is a singularity though.
Matlab's error is about an order of magnitude larger, isn't smooth and doesn't
drop nicely as the number of finite elements increases.

I think they didn't implement what is in the paper.  <shrugs>
