Follow-up Comment #11, patch #8472 (project octave):

Where should this file go in the sources?  etc/data?  Some new data directory?
 I'd like a directory that contains only auxiliary data files like penny.mat
so I can append that to the search directory in the run-octave script.  All
the files in this directory should be installed in the new $octdatadir
directory.  Is that OK?
