Details:

There are some changes in SuiteSparse control variables that require minor
modifications on octave code.

There is also a glitch source that I am not able to pinpoint yet but had
created a kludge to handle it. The problem is associated to the definition of
signbit(). Still analyzing. Had to modify SuiteSparse_config.h to get around
it. I tried to move things on configure.in to cope with that but without
success.

With the modifications I could build octave on openSUSE 13.1 64 bits.
