Follow-up Comment #19, patch #8656 (project octave): Thanks for the advice. I'll have a go with structs this week. No promises because they're quite a departure from other variables but I'll see how it works out. There will need to be conditions added to things like menus to prevent the user adding or removing columns, validation when changing variable names so they don't get duplicated and are required to be valid strings...
