I have pushed this 3 commits with only minor changes to the commit message.

However, I'm not very comfortable with a couple of things.

1) duplication of the content from DESCRIPTION
2) the file at the root of the package (is there a standard or recommended
place?)
3) function names as keywords (is there a list of available keywords to pick
from?)

To be honest I haven't looked very deep into AppStream. I'm not even sure what
is the problem that AppStream is trying to solve.
