Follow-up Comment #26, patch #9084 (project octave):

I've just put in the extra line "m_curData = ..." and crossed my fingers :-)
There is a build warning:

Looking at __go_uitable__ I see there is a documentation placeholder but maybe
the tex formatting isn't correct.

When running Octave and doing "demo uitable" the second demo leaves a blank
figure 1 behind.

Running the examples on the Matlab doc page work well after converting from
Matlab's new graphics object syntax.

One thing I would like is if the default position were such that a table is
centered better, or fills more of a default new figure window than the square
somewhere in the lower left region.
But I see that the competition merely does the same -  another chance for
octave to be better.
