I guess you're right and it should be added to config-module.awk instead,
thanks for noting.
Anyway, I have tried to use h5read for loading Matlab 7.3 .mat files. I works
to some extent but I think the issue there is that saving/loading classdef
stuff still needs adapting code in Octave's internals.
