Update of patch #8073 (project octave): Category: None => Core : new function Status: None => Done Open/Closed: Open => Closed _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #1: I checked in the patch under your name here (https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/34cc6edf2041). This will be a part of the Octave 5.0 release in Jan. 2019. On a small example problem the number of function evaluations was reduced from 129 to 60 or roughly in half which is significant.
