Follow-up Comment #3, patch #9824 (project octave):

I think it would be easier to provide a feature function. (I will call it
windows_feature, to avoid name conflicts in the future)

When it is octave, you could then set:

feature = @windows_feature;

and then use the COM functions the same as matlab.
