Update of patch #9980 (project octave): Priority: 5 - Normal => 3 - Low Status: None => Need Info Assigned to: None => philipnienhuis _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #1: Thanks for the contribution. As described in the help mailing-list https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help-octave/2020-10/msg00017.html and the a must read (bug #53100) before putting too much effort in this project. 1. Octave 7 will have fast Matlab compatible json(en/de)code functions. 2. There is already a well-tested comprehensive JSON library as pure M-File implementation. https://github.com/fangq/jsonlab 3. Your function might fill the gap before the Octave 7 release next year by 3a. Inclusion in the io package 3b. Creation of an own lightweight package https://github.com/gnu-octave/pkg-example Assigning this bug to Philip to decide about inclusion into the OF io package (3a.). For core Octave your contribution will not be regarded (1.). At your option (3b.) is always possible. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?9980> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
