Follow-up Comment #14, patch #9980 (project octave): I got Octave 7 going. Regarding empty index, there was no issue with replacing '{}' with '{:}'. Regarding issue with anonymous function, yes, I discovered that too. Fix implemented with solution I had tried to originally avoid by using nested subfunction. Will upload soon, as soon as I deal with v7 "break" of 'func2str'.
