[Om-synth] And still Om won't sing to me

Hi,

Here I am again, and still I haven't got Om to sing for me. This is a
different computer/distribution combo entirely. Everything is much the
same as it was in my previous post; however, when I connect the output
of the sine patch to alsa_pcm, I get something like the sound of a
bagpipe (a sine?). I also successfully loaded the meanbass patch (after
correcting the path to vcf plugins to be vcf.so), but still no sound. So,
my question is, what could be the matter here? 
# aplaymidi -p 128:0 file.mid
seems to "play", but no sound comes out at all.

liblo 0.22, jack 0.100, om 0.2.0, etc. on Gentoo running kernel 2.6.14.2
