THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, yeah, that was it... there was JUST ONE little thing I missed when I cleaned up after the 1.4.9 source install I did previously: I didn't know there was anything in /usr/local/bin (which was the first entry in my $PATH...) and sure enuff, there was the old bevs... I deleted it, and it works! :)

THANK YOU!

Been doing some research that error messages means that it can't find

Did you build freevsd from the CVS directory or did you use the ftp
download or stuff from the CD ? Have you had any prior installations
of freevsd on the machine ?

One thing could be that you have had a prior install of freevsd and
maybe have either bevs left from it or libvsd left from it.
And those have points to vsd.conf to either /etc/vsd.conf or
/usr/local/etc/vsd.conf or any other location.

It also could be so stupid that it fails to allocate the secondary dns
server and failes because of it. Try to write in same ip for secondary
dns as you have for primary.
