Hi all!
I've just grabbed the latest CVS sources and I can confirm that it's
doing the stereo flip-flop thing. It seems to happen
sporadically--it'll flip back and forth in the span of around 1/4 to
1/2 a second about three or four times in a row and then it'll be
stable for anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds. This was using XMMS and
playing a couple of songs that I know very well. You could hear a
definite click when it was swapping channels in the quiet sections of
the music that had little high end content. (I don't know if it makes
any difference or not, but I'm using KDE 3.1 and the snd-oss-*
modules. aRTs doesn't seem to bother anything, and KMix works
properly.)
One other thing is the card only seems to work in 44.1 KHz (or is it
48 KHz?). I tried playing Maelstrom (which uses mono samples in the 11
KHz range) and the sound stutters badly (it sounds like the stutters
are repeated 3 times, but it could be 4). Has multiple sample rate
playback been addressed yet?
