hi!

thanks for all the help, i've got the new alsa driver working.

i first, i tried some things with alsamixergui

some reports of problems i've found:

- changing PCM volume changes only the first speaker's volume, not the
back speakers.

- when changing volume, speaker settings during playing a sound (in
xmms or mplayer) and then restart playing the sound, the mixer settings
throw away(alsamixergui is still running, and does't  notice the changes).
for example: i start playing a sound using xmms, i mute the back speakers,
then restart playing the sound, the back speakers aren't muted.

- muting pcm -> back speakers are still unmuted.

- changing the volume of back speakers to 0 -> still hear some sound

that's after first minutes


the driver for me seems to be stable (after 20 hours it's still working)


maybe you can give me some point of what and how to test your driver, and
how to help your great work
