hi,
well, jackd can't be used with a hw interface, but it can be used
through the plughw layer (with bad latency). However, when jackd is
running, the logs constantly are spamed with the same hw_pointer
messages that happen while using xmms.

etc., except with jack it happens 50 times a second instead of every few
seconds with playing a stream in xmms. Has anyone investigated into the
source of this issue? I'm using ALSA 0.9.8 on 2.4.23 with a SQ2500.
