I looked at it years ago; before I started using pan. here's why I'd rather
see a way to automate certain tasks in pan:
1. I want to do more than just download binaries. other possibilities
include:
a. update groups list once a week
b. download headers/bodies each night, so they're waiting for me
when I wake up in the morning.
c. other things I haven't thought of, but someone more creative than
me will figure out. :) (that's the whole principle of UNIX, right?)
2. suck doesn't have an interactive browser. I often want to read the
associated comments and maybe reply to the author. yes, I could conceivably
track the post down with pan, and then read/reply; but that's a lot more
work than just looking for the highlighted subject line (I highlight posts
that I download attachments from).
3. suck didn't work, last time I tried. :) (which was admittedly 2+ years
ago, and I've learned a lot since then).
