Hi,

0.12.0 will be out any day now, so I thought I'd give you a quick
heads-up on the approach we'll be taking in CVS.

We've set up a branch 'pan-0-12-fix' against the code of 0.12.0. All
development for the 0.12 series (bugfixes and minor enhancements) will
be done on that branch and will result in releases 0.12.1, 0.12.2, etc.

HEAD will continue to be used for major new development. We'll be
committing changes there soon that will end up in 0.13.0. Of course,
since this is new development, you should not be surprised if Pan breaks
every now and then. :)

So, the choice is yours: if you don't mind a broken Pan every now and
then, feel free to stay on the main branch. However, if you prefer
things a bit more stable, switch over to the pan-0-12-fix branch and
help us get the wrinkles out of 0.12.0.

It goes without saying that we'd prefer to have testing on both
branches. But the choice is yours.

Detailed instructions on Pan's use of CVS, including how to switch to
the pan-0-12-fix branch, can be found at
http://pan.rebelbase.com/cvs.txt.

Regards,
Christophe
