Running 0.14.2.91 under MDK10.0, look at the toolbar at the top. 
"Filters", in particular.  The first one (looks like a drawing pin &
envelope) is for "Match Only New Articles".  If it's selected, it'll
have a box around it.

You may have to work this on a per folder basis.
