I'm not using CVS, but I'd assume PAN still has the various debug
switches, --debug-sockets and the like? Try running pan --help from the
command line, and it should give you a list of mostly debug options
available, including that --debug-sockets, which is probably what you
need. You can then either run that from an xterm or equiv, or redirect
output (stderr?) to a file and thereby log the debug output from your
session.
