I would:
1. Use ps to make sure you don't have an old pan process that's
getting in the way.
2. Try launching pan from the command line. You might see some error messages.
3. Try temporarily renaming ~/.pan2 (after making sure you have no pan
processes running) in case there's something in there screwing things
up and if pan then comes up, try re-adding servers one-by-one.
