The Maxstream, as well as all of the modems listed on the Wiki,
connect directly to the Tiny, Classix, or AVR boards. No level
shifting is required.
Matthew,
Thanks for the reply, the I/O from the Maxstream is 5V but it is CMOS and not TTL, does that mean we will need a chip that converts the CMOS to TTL before we connect it to the Tiny or will the 5V CMOS be complatible.
Thanks Deane

Deane,
Double check the IO voltage levels in the datasheet for the Maxstream modem. The I/O is 3.3V (but 5V tolerant, meaning TX will drive
3.3V out, and accept 0-5V in) on the philips LPC2148 (Tiny13 1.1 cpu). If your I/O from the Maxstream is 5V TTL then you are safe to interface directly to the Tiny13.

Hey guys,
I was wondering whether we can connect the Maxsteam Xtend straight to the Tiny 1.1 autopilot, or is there interfacing issues with the CMOS and TTL.
Thanks Deane
