Hi,
the issue with u-blox is that they seem to reduce the update rate as they are
implementing new features (e.g. Galileo). The LEA-4H can run safely at 5Hz
(Mikrokopter does that) whereas the LEA-5 can only run at 4Hz in software v5.00
or not even safely with 2Hz for the v6.02

The LEA-6 release notes talk about a non-guaranteed 5Hz option for non-flash
devices, anyone tried that?

It's likely that you don't need to downgrade the firmware. As long as the few
NAV messages we use are still the same (very likely) you can use any ublox GPS.
The difference between the 4P and 5H is only that the 4P also provided a UTM
message, newer ones don't anymore.

Is is possible to flash the 6H with v5 firmware? If so then the 6H should be a
drop in replacement for the 5H.

Hi,
Has anyone used a u-blox LEA-6H in place of the LEA-5H? What about the
smaller NEO series (e.g. NEO-6H)?
It seems the 5H is obsolete, but 6H might be available in both
formats. With a quick look at the specs they seem very similar
(perhaps even better for flying in canyons :)
