Lisa M is available there : http://transition-robotics.com/collections/autopilots/products/lisa-m-v2-0
As you seem to be a ws2812 expert and I didn’t take the time to watch into details into the specs :
Is there a chance that I can make it work without using too much cpu time ? My idea is just to change the color from time to time for instance when the battery gets low.
If I understand well, I just need to send the color I want once and it will not use any cpu time until I want another color. Am I right ?

Where does one get hold of a Lisa, BTW?

(WS2812 LED)
I will try to make it work with my lisa board to make something similar to the DJI stuff.
But before I start, I want to make sure that none has already done it…or have you ?
I wrote an Arduino driver for the WS2811 (at a glance, looks identical) which might help:
Note: not designed to work with standard arduino SDK (which sucks), but instead my own, which is in that repo.
