I am assuming you are enrolled in a Coursera course that is using Galaxy
on Jetstream VMs for the instruction.

You did the right thing, but in this situation, you need to report the
error to the Coursera course administrators.
This problem is not something that the author(s) of GNU Parallel can fix
without more context, which the course administrators should be able to
provide.
