Summary: Preferences playing yoyo :s
Original Submission: I write this here cause i can't see what am missing. I
installed phpgroupware version 0.9.16.000 on a debian with a mysql database. I
followed the install instruction and ended up with a preconfigured admin
account (i didn't choose the demo accounts) and a chosen set of application
activated.
Then i added a new user and i went thru the preferences.
I changed some preferences for the admin user and some default preferences. The
most important think i did was changing the layout to idots and setting the
langage to french.
First thing i thought was 'damn the french traduction is incomplete', then i
went thru the various available applications in the web interface and i noticed
the layout and the langage were switching at each clic between system default
and the preferences i choose. To be sure of it, i went to the preferences
interface again, and clicling several times the 'Your preferences' tabs showed
me what i was afraid of. The content of the form was switching at each clic
between 'default everywhere' and my choosen parameter. Same thing does NOT
applies to the 'Default preferences' tab and the 'Forced preferences' tab. I am
prospecting for a groupware application to install at office's intranet.
Phpgroupware was one of the most promizing. But this bug make it completly
unusable :s. Strange thing is i didn't notice this problem on the online demo.
Did i miss something????
On screenshoot i give, between top and bottom picture, i cliqued the 'save'
button. (strange way to save thing, isn't it?)
Help welcomed!
