I don't get the error. I can log in with the account I created in with the
setup_demo script.
It would help if we would know which menu point in the gui provoked this bug...
The bug points to class_contacts_sql and not to LDAP in any case.

Fixed Release:
Summary: Can not login after setup run with register_globals turned off with
LDAP Authentication
Original Submission: With register_globals turned off, after going through the
setup process, choosing LDAP as the authentication type, and adding LDAP users
and groups to the MySQL database, users receive the following error when
logging in:
Database error: Invalid SQL: LIMIT 15
MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'LIMIT 15' at line
1)
File: /var/www/phpgroupware/phpgwapi/inc/class.contacts_sql.inc.php
Line: 862
Session halted.
Dropping all the tables from the database, turning on register_globals and
going through setup again fixed the problem.

My dev install is register_globals = off. Setup is register_globals = off
safe. I spent a fair bit of time making sure they would work with
register_globals = off in 16.
login with SQL accounts in 16 works with register_globals = off
Side note, I fixed ldapmodify to work with the new schema in 001, ldap
import/export need to be checked.

I'm pretty sure that the setup scripts won't work with
register_globals = off. These scripts are very poor. I'm not sure if it is
worth to debug errors like this one in theses scripts. If somebody provides a
patch - I'm happy to apply it.

I will try with register_globals turned off ASAP to confirm this.
Btw the error is very strange LIMIT 15 is only a part of a request, so ... some
values are dropped I guess.
Not sure if this is a LDAP error though, so I assinged to fipsfuch, but we need
more info I think.
Hope I'm clear :)
