For what its worth, i didnt mean to be rude. I was just pointing out the
fact that this support request is better served elsewhere. There are
several great forums and channels (#php comes to mind) where maybe even
myself would gladly help out. Its just that we cannot start helping out
until you have a stable php setup with the modules specified in our
installation documents in detail. If we helped from before that point
(configure and install apache, configure and install php, configure and
install php modules....etc.). 

It wouldnt leave so room to help out with phpgw, which is a fairly
complex web app in itself and has lots of quirks and stuff....

So, there. I hope you get it running and then we get ot business okay?
