ah now we see, new to mysql? short lesson:
- MySql does not use system users, it has its own users and permissions system.
- Users in mysql can also be restricted by hostname, so in phpgw if you set the
mysql server to something other than "localhost" make sure your mysql user has
your
web servers FQDN as its host.
- Webmin's MySql module is the best GUI for creating and managing user
permissions. phpMyAdmin is the best GUI interface for viewing/editing the data.
Without these two tools I'd have never even got started :).
