What is SME server?
Mitel SME Server (formerly e-smith) is a Linux distro built on RH 7.x. It's designed for web-based management for small businesses (SME = Small and Medium Enterprises) and uses a template system to manage configuration file changes. It's pretty neat, if you don't want to do too much under the covers, although it is customizable, and has a number of community add-ons. It's especially useful for selling to small businesses who don't have their own tech support.
Which ldap version does it use?
The version I'm running (1 behind the production release, soon to be 2...) uses openldap-2.0.11-8. The new version is in late beta testing and will therefore likely ship in the next month.
