For those working on this idea ..
.. would a non-standard win program that is similar to linux cron or at commands
(and would run on all win platforms) be worth investigating

For instance .. wincron is a windows program that runs on a variety of win 
versions
and might be suitable

Maybe scheduled server task could be as simple as calling a specific url to 
start a
php script that would itself look for the event and task to be handled.

Some server side config and setup is inevitable .. but if limited to calling an 
url
(and autolaunching a browser) .. config would be acceptably minimal .. could php
script close the browser window?

Would this concept address the concern on the wiki about the need for a php cgi 
on a
windows system?
