Hmmph, right you are.  You could probably screw with the code for building 
that list, but I've found that messing with that functionality can be a 
little tricky (or was on previous versions).  The other option may be to set 
your preferences so that you select names by popup rather than by select box.  
In the .16 tree, this is a preference you can set, but I'm not sure whether 
it's actually in good working order yet.  And I hate the popups, myself, so 
it's not something I've really investigated.  Might be a possible more 
scalable alternative to consider, though.
