No.  It doesn't work that way

I think the current way is logical but you could disagree and post a feature
request on savanah .. or go code it yourself :)

You could also look at hiring one of the developers to do it.

Maybe other people could come up with a logical way that would make these
options .. but imo both have use issues and implementation problems and should
be discussed before rushing into coding
