Nick Mann address@hidden hellmouth6-gumbel.xml normal ok Invisible traps are really irritating! Be nice to at least put some eyes or something, so I might think in the first place that I might want to avoid going straight over... I'd almost rate it easy, since you cant really go wrong once you know about the trap. hellmouth10-gumbel.xml easy good Nice and neat level, I quite like the touches of having the extra things to play with, although it might be confusing in the long run. Almost a tutorial level, would be if there was only blockers and bombers. Could be made into an interesting level (possibly hard skill) by removing the blocker from the list and perhaps adding an extra miner - I've completed it with just using one blocker and the four miners and four builders, and it might be possible with just the four miners for someone who's good at the game (I've saved six using only the miners ;) hellmouth11-gumbel.xml easy good I'm almost inclined to only give this an OK rating. Its nothing particularly special, but it might be a reasonable one for late on in the easy sequence - there's a lot of options, many of which work, and can easily be solved with two blockers and one or two extra pingi to do some digging ;) Not quite sure why the level claims it's unplayable though... hellmouth12-gumbel.xml hard good I like this level, its quite an interesting challenge. I have to admit that I've not done it yet, but I can see how it could be done (but the engine has bugs in it that mean it'd be really really hard for me!) Until I complete it that's about as much as I can say... hellmouth13-gumbel.xml normal ok Needs the bizarre green squares removing from it. Otherwise an average level, nothing special, although having three entrances confuses things a bit, which is a nice touch. Didn't complete it properly, but I can see how I could have with a bit more time. With the green squares removed, it'll be a passable introduction to more complex situations. mushroom.xml unplayable unplayable I like the graphics... but it'd be nice to have an entrance and exit! iceblock-gumbel1.xml unplayable unplayable This looks very much like a test level for the iceblocks! But the level would probably be too complicated as an introduction to the iceblock things. (removing the steel blocks and expecting someone to build over it while the iceblocks melt might make a useful tutorial level though) desert-phil1.xml very hard ok With good timing this one might not be so hard... although I can't see an obvious solution to this level. If anything it's a little unexciting - its hard almost for the sake of being hard. I like the graphics though. desert-phil2.xml easy ok Quite a simple level, but the plants on the ground are annoying, since they keep getting in the way for no obvious reason. If the level were cleared up a little it'd be a bit less irritating (or if the plants are made bigger and more obviously a problem). I get a big "404 file not found" in a yellow and black box just below the exit. desert-crawl-timpany.xml normal ok Perhaps I'd label this one hard - it does require a few tricks, such as trying to turn a pingu around. There's a bug at the far end of the level, above the exit, where a pingu will fall down through what appears to be a solid block if you use a miner at the start of the block and wait for it to hit the metal wall. I've not solved it yet, but I can see how it can be done. It's a nice and clean level, not overly complex, although perhaps a little uninteresting. wland-timpany.xml hard ok Quite a complex level in terms of trying to get the pingus to do what you want, and you need to use a few tricks to stop them all getting stuck in the wrong places! I've not solved this one, yet. The graphics are bad - the trees look amateurish, with the blatant circles on the end of sticks... this is the sort of thing I'd expect as test graphics, but not as part of a polished game. aliens1-phil.xml normal good I like this level! Its not particularly hard, and very forgiving of mistakes, but the graphics are lovely and solving it requires at least a little thought. This would be a nice introduction or early level to an "alien" world.
