Here's a summary of building on various platforms:
* FTBFS on Ubuntu 22.04 in 32-bit and x32 modes, due to libnbd.
More details later.
* FTBFS on Solaris 11 with cc. Already reported in
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/poke-devel/2023-01/msg00129.html
* Compiles fine and passes all tests:
- Linux/x86_64 (Ubuntu 22.04), with gcc and with clang 17
- Linux/x86_64 with musl libc
- Linux/alpha
- Linux/armel
- Linux/arm64
- Linux/ia64
- Linux/m68k. Needs the environment variable GC_DONT_GC=1.
- Linux/mips
- Linux/mips64
- Linux/powerpc
- Linux/powerpc64le
- Linux/s390x (in 32-bit and 64-bit mode)
- Linux/s390x with musl libc
- Linux/loongarch64
- FreeBSD/x86_64
- NetBSD/x86_64
- OpenBSD/x86_64
- Linux/hppa (tests still running)
* Compiles fine and passes all tests, except for a timeout:
- Linux/powerpc64
* Compiles fine, no tests run due to missing dejagnu:
- Linux/sparc64 (in 32-bit and 64-bit mode)
- FreeBSD/i386 (starting with FreeBSD 12; in FreeBSD 11 it crashes, possibly
due to an old version of clang).
- FreeBSD/powerpc64
- FreeBSD/sparc64
- NetBSD/powerpc
- macOS/arm64
- Solaris 11.4/x86_64 (in 32-bit and 64-bit mode)
- Cygwin/x86_64
