Thanks for your indulgence. I understand how it can be
frustrating to have someone tell you to wait for a more general
fix when a specific one is already available.
I've now posted an initial version of my "relocatable" module for
gnulib to bug-gnulib. It's available via gmane at
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib.gnulib.bugs/9269 although
I'm not sure how you'd download just the text of the patches from
that site.
