The value-rep branch is (finally!) ready for review.
1. When using the data sheet, or the variable sheet to insert a new
variable, the variable gets inserted at the position of the active
cell, not the selected row/coloumn.
2. On one occasion, after inserting/deleting variables and then doing
File->New->Data PSPPIRE crashed with a "double free or corruption"
error. But I was unable to reproduce this.
3. It seg faults if you press Del in a data cell of a string variable
whose width is greater than 8.
4. (this happens on master too) By manually entering a string in the
width column on the var sheet, it is possible to fool the gui
into accepting a string length > 2^15 . A subsequent assertion
failure inevitably occurs.
