Thank you very much for your test! I also tried to go further down
to 10.5 but then it seems that my Xcode 10 cannot compile c++ anymore.

Do you know how to compile from 10.13 with Xcode 10 down to 10.5?
I did not find a lot about that and I did not understand how your hint

can play together with macports. On macports I simply set the
macosx_deployment_target.  Any ideas or examples?
