Can you give some more information. What happens that you don't expect to

One way is to use the Data|Select Cases menu to delete the unwanted ones.

I'm not sure that I understand properly. Hitting the DEL key blanks a cell for
me.
Perhaps you can say which version you are using, and post some examples of the
problems you are encountering?
