Your dramatic subject line fits very well in the context :D

The project is languishing a little bit because I have become very busy
with my studies and my time have been taken over by other interesting
project. But, this situation is not going to last long :D Actually the
project continuously come to my head and I am always thinking about nice
refactorings that I'd like to do and new features to add but I never
have the courage to sit down and type it :D

Next (academic) year I will use the project as the basis for my Master
Thesis. So at least for 1 year I will be working continuously on the
project. I still have to sit down and make a proper roadmap, but my idea
is to make a big refactor/rewrite on the core layers of the application
and while doing that add plugins support, hierarchical synth nodes, and
some form of inner sequencing support. That would probably be released
in a 0.3 alpha with no GUI.

Then, I would like to rebuild the GUI using the MyGui library because
CEGUI is just a pain the ass. While doing that, I will try to make it
less "simulation" and more usable just on the computer, thinking a bit
also about tablets and other forms of non-tangible but multitouch
screens. That would be a 0.4 and the starting point for some incremental
releases with more and more features until 1.0.

Thanks a lot for your interest :D
