This is all that's useful to implement without peripheral emulation as AVR CPUs include a lot of on-board peripherals.

Given the complexities of peripherals of AVR CPUs, in my opinion it would be overly demanding to the submitters to require a real machine emulation at this point of time. So:
Hopefully this will superceeded with a real board emulation in not so distsnt future.
