Would you like to be posted on any findings if I give it a try?
Gave it a try with GIT from yesterday evening and an AIX 7.1
installation DVD.
Things I noticed were the 'kernel size: 0' and the zero 'boot image
timestamp:'.
Tried it with 2GB ram as well, same result.
