Hi,

Is there a QEMU forum somewhere for technical support?
I did not know this mailing listwas not the above.
Let me know, thanks!

P.S. - Thanks for the answers to my questions...

Jesse

Hi,

I was using VMWare Player for many years on my Linux.
Recent versions of VMWare Player for Linux are just terrible.
I made the switch to QEMU recently.

Pretty happy with QEMU but have two issues:
(1) My Windows 10 virtual machine has choppy audio?
(2) I have to run "sudo virsh net-start default" in Terminal after each reboot?

Running Windows 10 Pro 64Bit guest on Kubuntu 18.04.3 LTS 64Bit Linux host.
Any ideas on how to fix the above two issues?
I am a video game developer who needs Windows 10 in a VM for dev purposes...
Thanks!

Sorry to bump...
Is this mailing list still active?
It is, but neither of your two issues are really related to the QEMU
Stable list, which is used for stable release development..

Still have same two issues below...
(1): There are various how-to's and posts available, discussing optimizing Audio
latency and performance in general. Maybe some [1] can help you, else the
qemu-discuss list, your Distributions resources, and various search engines should
be able to point you in better directions.

(2) is not a QEMU issue, but is either libvirt / virt-manager or Distribution
related. I'd first check with your Distribution, if possible try out a newer#
release - not that the issue is already fixed in master but that fix is not yet
released through your distribution. If it seems to really be an issue with virsh
then I'd contact those [0], but I'd guess that it's rather a configuration issue.
