there is a bug in the bash_completion file of quilt
that was introduced with the last change:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/quilt/quilt/bash_completion.diff?r1=1.8&r2=1.9
in this line at the end: [ ${BASH_VERSINFO[0]} > 2 -o \
the > needs quotation, otherwise it will create
a file "2" into the home-directory instead of
doing a comparison.
