Follow-up Comment #2, bug #16526 (project rdiff-backup):
Frankly, it's the --force option that got you into trouble. If we leave out
--force, we get:
Fatal Error: Restore target . already exists, specify --force to overwrite.
So, this is really a user error. If this seems to bite lots of people, maybe
someone will step-up and write a patch.
Here's another example (DON'T RUN :-) --
ln -s /mydir foo
rm -rf foo
Funny how the force option destroys /mydir ...
