Details:

This is more of an annoyance than anything else.

On NetBSD, a simple "rdiff-backup foo oof", where foo is a directory with one
file in it, generates the following warnings:
Warning: Unable to set permissions of
oof/rdiff-backup-data/rdiff-backup.tmp.0/dir_inc_check to 7777 - trying again
without sticky bit (6777)
Warning: Unable to set permissions of
oof/rdiff-backup-data/rdiff-backup.tmp.0/high_perms_file to 7000 - trying
again without sticky bit (6000)
Warning: Unable to set permissions of
oof/rdiff-backup-data/rdiff-backup.tmp.0/high_perms_file to 7777 - trying
again without sticky bit (6777)
Warning: Unable to set permissions of
oof/rdiff-backup-data/rdiff-backup.tmp.0/high_perms_dir to 7000 - trying again
without sticky bit (6000)
Warning: Unable to set permissions of
oof/rdiff-backup-data/rdiff-backup.tmp.0/high_perms_dir to 7777 - trying again
without sticky bit (6777)

Of course, using -v1 shuts it up, but still it's troubling to new users. 
This has been happening for quite some time, but it didn't in the past.
