Details:

Sometimes the duration of the backup is less important than ensuring that the
backup will fit on the storage device. Generally, I like to run my backups and
then prune the oldest incremental until the backup is perhaps 80% of my disk
space. This allows me to maintain the longest backup history possible while
minimizing the possibility I'll run out of space the next time a backup is
started.

A "--prune-to-size" option could accept human readable sizes (like du -h
provides) and ensure the backup remove all increments that put the backup over
that size threshold.
