Hi,
short update for everybody:
1. I've created an issue for this:
https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/issues/731 - you can follow
it if you're interested in the gory details
2. There is already a workaround at
https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/pull/732 - waiting to be
reviewed
3. Once it's merged I'll release a new beta version (soonish)
Again, sorry for the inconvenience, we'll address this as part of
https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/issues/306 to avoid such
blatantly wrong binaries to be released in the future (at least under
Windows, we never had the issue under Linux).

After downloading and extracting

.\rdiff-backup-2.1.2b1-64\rdiff-backup.exe --help
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "rdiff-backup", line 19, in <module>
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'rdiffbackup'

Good catch, sorry for this. I can reproduce the issue. Interestingly
enough. the local build works properly, it's only when built through
the pipeline that it fails. I need to analyze this (pipeline errors
are always a bit ugly to debug).
This was an incorrect statement, the local copy also isn't working
properly but less apparently, it just doesn't find its modules. OK, I
need to look into this deeper. For now, I've removed the Windows builds
from the release. Sorry for the inconvenience.
